Hochkönig - the natural jewel in the Austrian mountains

Whether in spring, summer or autumn when hiking in the Hochkönig region, every step leads into nature. Clean mountain air, towering rocks, idyllic alpine pastures, fresh meadows and fabulous views of the surrounding mountains - that's pure relaxation during your holidays. The 340 km long network of paths is well signposted and has been awarded the Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality.

In addition to herb walks, the Königsweg and the green nine, a hiking highlight where you can hike from hut to hut without luggage and climb one mountain after the other. Our hiking partner companies will gladly take care of the luggage transfer. An additional plus of the hiking and holiday region are the weekly guided hikes, which are offered in all three villages by trained hiking guides. Another top highlight are the six summer cable cars which take you from the valley to the mountain in a very relaxed way. This also guarantees your victory at the summit. What should not be forgotten in summer is the historical Bartholomew pilgrimage from Maria Alm over the stone sea to Königssee.
