Important information about ski touring

We ask for your understanding that ski touring is currently prohibited on all of our slopes without exception.
Due to the narrow slopes caused by weather conditions, the ski touring ban is essential for the safety of our skiers.

The following alternatives are currently available

- In Mühlbach Hochkeil from Arthurhaus
- Evening tours from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Every Thursday: Hochmais valley station to Steinbockalm / Gabühelhütte
- Every Wednesday: Aberg valley station to Abergalm
- Every Wednesday: Karbachalm valley station / Scheppalalm to Zapferlalm
- Every Saturday: Schwarzeckalmbahn valley station to Thoraualm

As soon as the regular ascent tracks can be opened, this will be updated immediately.

For all those who want to climb the winter mountain peaks on the Hochkönig under their own steam, whether during the day or in the evening, the Hochkönig region offers its own ascent routes for ski tourers - in unspoilt nature or on certain days after skiing on selected pistes.

For all active winter sports enthusiasts who want to improve their fitness, the cross-country ski trails in Maria Alm, Hinterthal, Dienten and Mühlbach provide the perfect place to train in dreamlike surroundings. You can prepare yourself individually on the perfectly groomed trails. The best thing about it: these two winter sports are easy on your holiday budget, can be used at any time without registration and also keep you fit - so you can look forward to the mountain summer even more.

Ski amadé - made may day
From the ski area to the untouched deep snow. The goal is the Statzerhaus am Hundstein. The ascent time is approx. 2 hours. We will show you the correct use of the touring material and give you helpful tips for the right walking technique and tactics. The descent leads over various variants through the Handlergrund back to Hintermoos. The training with the emergency equipment is of course always done. We make decision-making and risk analysis at the Freeride Info Point on Aberg.
