In the Hochkönig region, all amateur mountain climbers will definitely get their money's worth. You can choose among countless tours with challenging and technically difficult variations.
Premium climbing tours
The Hochkönig will delight every climbing enthusiast. Leisurely climbing tours and sports climbing routes of the highest level ensure unlimited climbing fun. Well-secured, alpine sports climbing routes alternate with adventure routes along which you must secure yourself.
Finest limestone
The high quality of the fine, light Hochkönig limestone is a rare find in the Alps and provides for endless touring fun.
In Salzburg's climbing heaven

The Hochkönig is 2,943 m high. Its size is massive in every respect. It's not without good reason that the Hochkönig has a legendary reputation among mountain climbers. Among the pros, it ranks up there with the climbing Eldorado of the Arco (Italy) or Chamonix (France). From amateur mountaineers to experienced climbing enthusiasts, there is something to make every climber's pulse race faster with excitement. The variety of ascents and routes up to the highest of difficulty levels make the Hochkönig a climbing and sports paradise - the Hochkönig reveals its most beautiful sides when it comes to via ferrata climbs, high alpine routes, and exposed summit tours. Austrian climbing legend Albert Precht accomplished countless first ascents in his home region. His knowledge about the distinctive mountain ranges of the Hochkönig and their characteristics helped him to make this area accessible with many routes.
On your summer vacation on the Hochkönig, climb up to the peak of emotions!
